Mixxx Assignment 10: Mic

I used my creativity and my voice in this song "Sundriped" by Tom Cruise. I used my dj name DJ Has and said it in the video. I said it at the right time. I picked this time because the beat was smooth and no words was being said. Also the rhythm went with my voice.

Mixxx Assignment 7: Loops

I used my creativity to use loops in my song. I picked a part of the song that has a good rhythm and beat. I picked the best parts of the same that I would put the loop in. Also it would sound good when I play it back. The song is Baby Missiles by "War On Drugs".

Mixxx Assignment 9: Sampling

I turned the knobs to see what it would do the sounds. It either made the base go up or the sound. I tried different sounds at one time and tried them all at once. I used my creativity and heard what the knobs do. Also they are 4 sounds at one time. The song is Lost Boys by "Death Grips".

Mixxx Assignment 8: EQ

I changed the low,mid, and high sounds. Some sounds changed in the background of the song. Some was the beat,tremble and rhythm of the song that changed. I used my creativity and tried to make a remix of the song. I changed how it sounded and it sounded pretty good. The song is "Sundriped" by Tom Cruise.

Mixxx Assignment 6: FX

I used my creativity and added effects. I used the effects and saw what they do to the song. I changed the LFD, Depth, and delay. I saw how the song changed when the effects were added.The song is "Get Got" by Death Grips.

The first song is "I've Seen Footage" by Death Grips and the second song is "Sundriped" by Tom Cruise. I used my creativity and all the elements I learned. I moved the pitch control slider to the left and right side. I used scratching, balance, volume, hotcues, beat matching, and cross fade. I lowered and raised the volume crossfading between song individually. I used hotcues. 0.57-1.10 is "Sundriped" by Tom Cruise and 1:30 - 1:35 is "I've Seen Footage" by Death Grips.

Mixxx Assignment 5: Beatmatching

I used two song and matched the beats. I used the my creativity to match the beats and moved the
crossfader to even out the beats. They can match perfectly after I did it. Also in the beginning I synced both of the songs in order to make them match, The first song is "Sleep Away" by Bob Arci and the second song is "Kalimba" by Mr Scruff

Mixxx Assignment 3: Pitch Control Slider

I used the pitch control on the song. I made the song faster and slower. The song got faster and then I changed it so the song will be slower. The song is Baby Missiles by War On Drugs. I show appreciation to the song artist.

Mixxx Assignment 4: Hot Cues

I used hot cues and picked four parts of the song I liked. I liked the song overall because he was talking about real things. The song is Spread Eagle Cross the Block by Death Grips. I give them alot of credit because the song was great. I also recorded it and ended it at the last cue.

Biggie Smalls was born Christopher Wallace on May 21, 1972. He was also known as Notorious B.I.G. He was a drug dealer when he was at a young age. He started making music when he got out of jail after serving Nine Months in North Carolina prison. His smash hit was "Ready to Die". He had a fellow friend and he was a rapper. His name was Tupac Shakur. He helped his career alot. Biggie Smalls aka Notorious was killed Los Angeles on March 9, 1997 by a drive-by.
